this school, with all its old-fashionedness and quirky students, meant a lot to me. the pure hard work, in-depth focus on few skills as opposed to browsing over a lot of different stuff, and the fun of breathing cartooning 24/7 has definitely been the most formative experience ive had. it gave me a platform from which to depart.
although i only talked to mr. kubert on one or two occasions, his work and mentality continues to influence me - and many many many hundreds of professional cartoonists out there. without him i might not have understood how to do this type of work.

your conclusion of the kubert school is one of a positive kind!
yes, well it did matter quite a lot to be there. of course the school had its problems, probably still does. but to me it was nevertheless far better than not going there.
