alright. done a little bit more on the piece. for now im in doubt about how organic i should make the woods. im now blowing the sketch up to about twice as big so i can flush out more details. theres an underlying topic of organization vs. organism here. a possibility of making the real world cold, repetitive and such, and the sphere of light being something warm and enlightening. i dont really feel like i want to go there with the piece as i dont think that symbolism rings true.

if anything imagination is an elaboration - a consequence of the real world, no matter if the intent is escapism or criticism.
